The Postpartum Support/Care Service Teams (Doula) job is to help mom during her recovery period, to make the transitions to parenthood easier for new parents and to ascertain what the family needs help with and provide the instruction.

What that actually looks like in your home may vary from one family to another such as: caring for baby while you nap or shower, meal prepping for the family, helping you catch up on mother/baby laundry, light home sprucing, or helping with your older children .

The main objective of a Postpartum Support/Care Service Team's (Doula's) role is not to take over complete care of the newborn, but to educate and support the family so that they will feel empowered to care for the newborn themselves.
